Great Find Here! First Edition Signed By the Author John Faulkner is in Excellent condition with a tight binding and clean crisp pages. Book appears to be totally UNREAD! Book very nicely signed by the author under his name on the title page. John Faulkner died in 1963, so this was signed 50+ years ago. John Faulkner's brother was William Faulkner. But John Faulkner was an author in his own right, as he also wrote "Men Working" and "Dollar Cotton". Vintage Dust Jacket is nice. It is price clipped, but it has the price $3.95 done with a vintage stamp at the top of the inside front flap of the Dust Jacket. Dust Jacket shows some minor chipping to the outside edges, but overall nice. Dust Jacket is now covered by a new clear mylar cover.

Signed By Author First Edition ("A") from 1946. Inscribed on the title page to include "Happy doughnuting" with the signature "Legrand" in the author's writing. Classic is in Very Good condition with a tight binding and clean crisp pages. Besides the inscription and signature by the Author there is no writing or marks inside or outside of the book. Outside pictorial cover shows some minor edge and corner wear with one cut ding to the outside spine. Dust Jacket is price clipped with some minor soiling, chipping, small edge tears, and small missing pieces from the top and bottom of the outside spine. Dust Jacket is now covered by a clear mylar cover. Famous author and illustrator of children's books to include the Augustus series. Author died in 1964- 51 years ago! Great Collectible!

Stated First Printing Signed and dated By the Author Marguerite De Angeli in 1942 (79 years ago!). Marguerite De Angeli died in 1987. This is the classic story about the earliest Swedish settlers in the Delaware Valley in Pennsylvania. Classic Vintage Hardback Book is in Good Plus to Very Good condition with a tight binding and mostly clean crisp pages with some minor soiling. There is some soiling inside the front and back cover primarily along the inside spine where there may have been some papers stored inside at one time. It does have an original book mark that came with the book about "Tomte", the house elf who came to Amerika with Elin. Wonderful Illustrations! Outside cloth covers show some minor soiling primarily along the outside spine with some minor wear to the outside corners. No Dust Jacket. Wonderful Illustrations by this Newberry Award Winner! Great Classic from the World War II timeframe.
