16 Ben-Gurion and the Birth of Israel World Landmark #62 HB/PC Nice!
Comay, Joan Random House 1967 Hardcover Excellent Hardcover
This is one of the nicest examples of this title that we have ever seen! Book is Unread! Binding is super tight and pages crisp and clean! This is the second to last book in the World Landmark series and was not issued with a Dust Jacket. The only thing this book has is a some Hebrew written neatly inside the front cover and on the table of contents- which if anything adds to this book! Outside pictorial cover shows only minor wear to the outside corners and edges. A wonderful edition to your collection! The latter issued Landmark books that were only issued in Pictorial Covers were primarily released to schools and libraries- so the fact that this is neither and does NOT have a library binding adds to the rarity of this very nice book.

Flat-Tops The Story of Aircraft Carriers Landmark #121 HB/PC, Edmund L Castillo
19 Flat-Tops The Story of Aircraft Carriers Landmark #121 HB/PC
Edmund L Castillo Random House 1969 Hardcover Very Good Hardcover
This is one of the most RARE of the Landmark titles. Hardback Pictorial Cover book is in Good to Very Good condition with a tight binding and clean crisp pages. This is an ex-library book with the expected library markings, but they are not excessive. This book was housed in a Bookmobile, as noted by the stamps, so maybe it did not get checked out as much as if it had been in a "regular" library. Outside pictorial covers show some wear to the outside corners, edges, and spine. Overall a nice copy of this Rare book! In 1910, less than seven years after the Wright brothers first flew a plane from the ground, Eugen Ely first flew a plane from a ship. His daring exploit marked the beginning of the most important change in the long history of sea power. In this book, Captain Castillo tells the story of carrier aviation- from the first shaky flights of the pioneers, through the dramatic carrier battles of World War II, to the efficient operations of a modern nuclear-powered carrier. Wonderful addition to your collection!

Flat-Tops The Story of Aircraft Carriers Landmark #121 RARE, Edmund L Castillo
20 Flat-Tops The Story of Aircraft Carriers Landmark #121 RARE
Edmund L Castillo Random House 1969 Hardcover Very Good Plus Hardcover
This is one of the most RARE of the Landmark titles in this wonderful series. Hardback Pictorial Cover book is in Very Good condition with a tight binding and clean crisp pages- it does have one bent upper right corner on page 39. We have been collecting/selling Landmarks for over 20 years and this is one of the nicest copies of this book we have seen. This is a Non-Library book, which is Rare for this title. The later Landmark pictorial covers had very little trade sales, as most of these titles went to libraries. This book appears to have little use to the inside text, but I guess we can assume that someone made it to page 39. Outside pictorial covers are nice with some wear to the outside corners and edges and about a 2 1/2" diagonal scuff to the back cover. Inside the back cover there is a small glue spot at the top edge near the inside spine which has pulled a small piece of paper from the last end page- this is a very minor issue.
